Is this the lower half of a World War II dog tag? Visually, I would say yes, but what puzzles me is the inscription, which doesn't include a proper name (unless Lübbecke is the surname, but that's hard to imagine since there's a town with that name only 10 km from where it was found). The material is aluminum. What do you think? Does anyone have any experience with this?
That's true too. It could also be called Army Munitions Depot. You might find more information at Bundesarchiv.de.
