The base stamp suggests a German 3.7mm Flak gun, but it's clearly too short for that. The current Tornado and Eurofighter aircraft have 27mm guns, but they have a narrower rim above the ejector pin groove. Neither seems to fit satisfactorily. Could you please take more pictures, including the dimensions?

It is the casing of a German 20mm Flak 38.

On Saturday I was back at the spot, and this time a police/KMRD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service) intervention was necessary because I found the stuff to be live, with a phosphorus tip, as I was told. Well, we're aware of the dangers that come with our hobby.

Was the projectile a single piece and colored, e.g., black with a colored stripe around it? Or did it have a separate aluminum tip?

Completely filthy, but at least 20 cm long with a point, because I had found the casing shortly before, I assumed it was one. And my suspicion turned out to be correct.
