Hermann I. von Holte was abbot of the Benedictine abbey of Corvey from 1223 to 1253 (some sources state 1254). Career: Before his abbotship in Corvey, he was provost of the cathedral in Merseburg. Work: In 1234, he founded the Cistercian convent of Ottbergen, which was later moved to Brenkhausen. Numismatics: Silver pennies exist from the time of his regency (c. 1223–1254).
