I have a permit for a field (only about 80x220m) that I now just call the "Nazi coin field". The picture shows only some of the coins that I found there. Almost everything is from the period 1880-1945. The coins are spread over the entire field, just as if they had been sown there. I also found badges, buttons, etc. from that period. The field itself is completely unspectacular in the middle of nowhere. I would never have thought of looking there. The tip came from an older gentleman who saw me somewhere else. He then told me that as a boy he "always collected coins over there in the field as soon as the farmer had ploughed." My first reaction was more like "yeah, sure..." But after a quick look around the area it was immediately clear that the gentleman was right. There are now certainly over 300 coins (Reichspfennig and Rentenpfennig, a lot of "Zinker" (rain brings blessing), various buttons, party badges etc. etc. etc.) No one has been able to explain to me how and why there are so many things from this era. But it is still fun every time
