a strange piece, note the clear hole in the middle of the bow head, which in my opinion served as an anchor for the needle apparatus, a technique that is, to my knowledge, unusual on Noric-Pannonian double-button brooches, but which was used in the Rhine-Weser-Germanic region in particular, for example on West Germanic eye brooches (A 47) and later regularly on roller-cap brooches A 38/39c - perhaps this suggests that this "exotic" piece was repaired at home?
