We're not making any progress with this find. Does anyone have any ideas? It was at least partially gold-plated. There are traces of gold-plating visible on every side, including the "underside".

Hm...the shape is similar. The bend of my find is just not as extreme and I don't think it would work as a hook. My find doesn't actually look damaged either. So it wasn't bent by the plough.

It is definitely a very interesting piece. It could be an ornate piece of clothing (coat/belt), I am very curious to hear what the experts say.
