I think it's part of a bottle cap. The kind that pops open like on Flensburg bottles. I've found a few of them, including the porcelain lid with the metal pieces. Unfortunately, you can't add photos to the comments, can you?

Here as a reference: VT-3U6N6TC6 Just uploaded. I also found the individual pieces connected with wire. I'll post photos of this at the weekend. It's simply a swing top from a bottle
