Description:
Silver coin; obverse: the distorted Colonia monogram with O in the center; reverse: obscured due to a suspected double strike, a temple building framed by IIII and III with a portal and triangular gable. It is a so-called "Lower Elbian Agrippiner". This refers to early medieval coin imitations of Andernach pennies, which in turn imitated Cologne denarii (Sancta Colonia pennies). Dating: 2nd half of the 11th century. Place of minting: probably Bardowick (KILGER 1989, 62ff.)
