It's clear that this is a die, but my question is, what period might it be from? It's made of lead. What's striking is that it has two 6s and the 2 is possibly missing. Perhaps it was discarded because it was considered useless?

Sometimes the dice were formed from lead balls. It's difficult to date them.

But lead cubes have actually been found in urns from the Imperial era! Most finds, however, are from the modern period.

No known old/classic board game regularly uses a die with two sixes. Therefore, it's more likely a case of gambling/a loaded die or a lucky charm. The former would be quite sensible and even beneficial to one's health in some situations, as it could be disposed of by throwing it away. However, I suspect it's more likely a lucky charm due to its asymmetrical shape, even though there are no signs of wear. Temporarily replacing a real die in a game would be noticeable.
