Couldn't that be a Roman? Have you already shown it to the archi?

Celtic or Roman... I'm not entirely sure. My archaeologist says I should show everything when I hand in the finds in this summer. But I would really like to know what it is.

Or Celtic. I see a horse on one side. In any case, a very interesting coin find

I already had a Roman, which Bernd quickly identified.

Yes, it's a productive corner here. Greetings from Minden 😂 I work here during the week. But I'm looking in Lower Saxony

It's still an hour and a half away. Otherwise you could have come around.

I could imagine that the coin is a contemporary imitation of a denarius or a subaeratus. In the photos it looks as if the coin was silver-plated. In some places it has chipped off and you can see the base metal (bronze?)

IncredibleAlk   3.3.2025
No, it's completely silver.. I really believe it.

Top Münzfund 👌

If I understand correctly, it is a Republican Denarius.

Do you perhaps have a more precise term?
