Disc-shaped strap tongue (fragmented) with clear signs of reworking. The ferrule end was severed and a simple eyelet was attached instead, ignoring the decoration - a central six-pointed rosette surrounded by three concentric double circles with interior decoration. Dating: 1st half of the 5th century.
There is also a good comparison piece for the disk-shaped strap tongue from Schleitheim-Hebsack, Canton Schaffhausen, grave 363 (chamber grave with female burial): A. Burzler/M. Höneisen/J. Leicht et al. (eds.), The early medieval Schleitheim. Settlement, burial ground and church. Schaffhauser Archäologie 5 (Schaffhausen 2002), 247, pl. 26.10.
