I regularly find buttons from the Kriegsmarine here (probably not so unusual on the coast) but unfortunately there are no markings on them to assign them accordingly

I've found some here in the Harz, with and without a crown. I was very surprised at first, but even my grandfather was a soldier on the warship Scharnhorst.
