Of course, it says "in a timely manner", so about 48 hours after the discovery 😎.

Very beautiful brooches! Determining the exact type of brooch is a challenge for me. Is the bow flat like sheet metal or cast solid? If it is more of an Alpine type of brooch, this would be the right literature to start with: Stefan Demetz, Fibeln der Spätlatène- und historischen und provinzialröschenische Archäologie 4 (Rahden/Westf. 1999).
These are both brooches (parts) from a strongly profiled Almgren 68 brooch. Beautiful pieces. Date from around 50 to 150 AD as far as I know. But I'm waiting for the expertise from the LfD when I get my database extract.

Ah! You only photographed the underside of the bow! Difficult conditions! 😜 Then it will fit with the upper string, the securely open needle holder and the small support arms UNDER the string. Almgren 68 will definitely fit then.

The top is also here as a picture 😊. Yes, with some fragments and just from a picture it is sometimes difficult to classify it correctly. Since 1.7.23 we have to hand in all our finds (everything older than the 17th century) and since then I have not taken any more pictures on a Metrika. But I will do that again here in the future. As a rule, I immediately pack the finds in lost and found bags, label them and take them to the post office 👍
